J. Morris (Jim) Hicks

A former senior executive with Ralph Lauren in New York and an accomplished corporate headhunter; how did a man with that background become an expert in the field of health and nutrition? It all began with his study of Industrial Engineering at Auburn University in the late sixties and the realization that any process can be improved.

Then, after a 30-year corporate career of always looking for the biggest bang for the buck in business, he accidentally discovered in 2002 what he regards as the largest potential process improvement in the history of the world -- The process of how we feed ourselves -- and the dramatic impact that it has on quality of life, the cost of health care and a host of environmental issues. Since then, he has devoured hundreds of books, articles and seminars on the subject of superior nutrition and has worked closely with several of the field’s most prominent leaders, including T. Colin Campbell, PhD, the author of The China Study.

With his newfound knowledge, he is now committed to applying his corporate skills to making a difference in this profoundly important movement of changing the way we eat. After organizing all of his findings at www.harmonyearth.net, he recently earned a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell (Division of Cornell University) and is busy writing his first book.
